The Multiethnic Community Center (MECC) is a 501(c) Non-profit organization that provides culturally relevant programs and services to assist members of immigrant and refugee communities in accessing health and community services and resources, thereby facilitating their resettlement and well-being here in Houston, Texas.

MECC cross-cultural navigators provide information about accessing services, referral to health, community, housing, and social services, and practical assistance in dealing with various agencies, e.g., filling out forms, making appointments, etc. MECC also contributes to building the knowledge base on evidence-based programs and services for Immigrants, Refugees, Mental Health, and cultural issues through research, training, and capacity building to ensure the highest quality of services.
